Opposites Attract

You can never know true joy

Until you've known deep sorrow.

You'll never experience true peace.

Until you've gone through a storm.

You won't appreciate the good days

Until you've had a number of bad ones.

Some people say that life isn't fair

And every action has an inevitable reaction.

But I say that everything you do

And everything that happens to you

Is not and will never be meaningless.

I say that opposites compliment one another

Because every dark valley needs a shimmer of light.

You're only a temporarily wounded soldier.

Your broken parts will soon be beautiful battle scars.

They will turn into a great story you'll tell.

There will be no resolution in the story

If there is no conflict in the first place.

Get through this conflict, this storm.

Because this is all preparation.

Preparation for a greater plan God has.

When you're ready and healed

He'll give you armor, a sword, and a shield.

He'll go with you back into the battle.

This time you'll be stronger than ever before.

Await for that wonderful day.

When you will walk with true joy

And you will experience true peace.

This battle will not go on forever

Because our God always has the victory.
